February 4, 2011 | Walk for Warmth

Mark your calendars for the 21st annual Walk for Warmth hosted by Oakland Livingston Human Service Agency (OLHSA). The Oakland County Walk for Warmth will be at The Palace of Auburn Hills on February 27, 2011 from 12:30 – 3:00 p.m.

The event will raise funds to help struggling residents in Oakland and Livingston Counties pay their utility bills through OLHSA’s Emergency Utility Assistance Program. “For over two decades OLHSA has enjoyed great support from business and individuals in order to fund this essential program,” said Ronald B. Borngesser, OLHSA CEO. “More families than ever need our help, and we’re calling on the community to rise to the challenge of helping as many people as possible.” In 2010, Walk for Warmth raised $173,000, and this year the fundraising goal is $180,000.

Event registration begins at 12:30 p.m. with the event kicking off at 1:00 p.m. Walkers will enjoy live entertainment, refreshments, and complimentary massages. The Kiddie Court will feature games, prizes, face painting, and much more. To donate, pre-register, or learn more, visit www.olhsa.org/walkforwarmth
